Grace is not a story you believe in. Not a plot point, or a twist of fate, or anything you can plan for. If that’s what you think, it’s not Grace that has arrived. At least not Grace with a capital G. By her very nature, Grace comes into our story as unexpected and unmerited. If you have earned a visitation, it is not by that one we call Grace. She comes from a freedom, or a vein of gold, and seems to live somewhere far off and away. She visits of her own accord, usually when least expected and most needed. This is not to say you cannot have small graces - small acts of mercy and blessing - without the heavens opening up and raining down. Of course you can. But that’s not what I am talking about.
